A piece about the parts of ourselves that we don’t always show. The dark figure at the centre feels powerful and protective, almost like a shield, while the bright colours behind it represent the different emotions and experiences that exist underneath.
The sharp teeth and intense expression give the piece a sense of anger and strength, but to me, it also represents protection learning to become stronger, setting boundaries and not allowing everything around me to affect who I am. The contrast between the darkness and the bright colours reflects the different sides of me that can exist at the same time.
